USB Camera Module - Shell/Enclosure
thingiverse
With webcams (the good brands/models) becoming harder to find, you are seeing these USB Module Cameras popup more now on places like Amazon. Some of them come with enclosure and all, but not all of them. Some of them are just circuit boards with a camera sticking off of it. If you wind up getting one that doesn't have an enclosure/shell, then this is for you (maybe). This fits some of the boards that are 38mm/38mm square with a molex plug sticking out the back at the bottom of the board (see images). It's designed to fully enclose the camera, so make sure the model you have is also fixed focus since you won't be able to spin the lens (manual focus models). The camera model I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089QH5RQL/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&tag=pnmain-20&linkId=2182930c8bb1a1388ef1411ba9fc84f7&language=en_US The back cover is made to just be glued onto the shell. I only used a small drop of gorilla glue on each corner in case I ever want to pop it back open. You may have the shave down the pegs on the back cover depending on your model/experience I've noticed (depends on the thickness of your circuit board). They are meant to make contact with the back of the board and hold it to the inner corner platforms/pegs (which create a stopping point for when you are sliding it in and so it doesn't wiggle around inside).
