USB Cable Thread Lock
thingiverse
I just bought a USB microphone and was wondering why there is a thread on the end with the USB connector. Since USB B can be notoriously finicky, I thought "there must be a special lockable connector for this". Fortunately, the support team answered that no such thing existed. So I decided to design one myself. To my surprise, I got the thread right (at least it fits) on the first try and a few hours later (only one reprint due to my own mistake) I can now securely lock the cable. Print the inner parts twice! I am not sure if the dimensions of USB plugs are standard, so if you use a different one you may need to adjust the file.
