USB Cable Protector

I was fed up with the lack of a decent usb cable protector that really covered both the usb and micro usb connectors, so I decided to design my own solution. It would fully encase these connectors, providing real protection. To assemble this protector, some glue is used to secure it in place on both sides. Extensive testing has been conducted with various devices, including a Samsung Galaxy S7, J2 phone, and generic USB cables. Update: ----------- An iPhone 8 version of the design has now been added, featuring both lightning and usb connectors. Although it may also fit other iPhone models, I have not had the opportunity to test this further...
