USB C Converter Key Chain Holder
thingiverse
I recently picked up a Nexus 6P and came equipped with the necessity of utilizing USB C cables. Since not every location I visit allows access to USB C cables, I've started carrying an adapter for added flexibility. This design is inspired by Sach's adapter, but I created mine with a single tab instead of two. This holder fits standard key rings (as long as the diameter of the ring is 3.5 mm or smaller) and more importantly to me, this type of key ring. It should fit most USB-C to Micro USB adapters, but it's specifically designed to fit this one perfectly. The slots in the bottom are sized so that if it gets stuck, a standard house key can be used to provide a gentle boost. Edit: I uploaded a version with a single larger slot so that the key can push the adapter out further, if necessary. I also uploaded a cleaner STL of the original. The features are tiny, but it shouldn't make any difference; it's about 1/10th the file size of the original. Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 100% Notes: I printed this vertically so that the bottom of the holder (the part with the slots) was flat on the build table. I had to file the inside slightly because I experienced some stringing during my printing process. I also had to chase the hole for the key ring with a 5/32" drill, though I think just using a knife would have worked as well.
