I prefer making circular holes for USB connectors, which is a breeze with this adapter and PCB layout combination. The setup enables you to create a round hole for the adapter and then seamlessly fit a standard USB-B connector with the small PCB. This design features a Press/Snap fit functionality. To utilize it, simply connect wires from your current USB connector location to the small PCB. This versatile adapter is compatible with Arduino, Raspberry, or any other board that has a USB-B connector. For SCAD users, the provided source code allows for effortless integration of the USB connector press/snap fit into custom enclosures or panels. The Farnell part numbers 1642035 and 1308876 can be used to procure the necessary connector.
