I decided to convert a K40 laser to a Smoothie Clone controller and simultaneously design a remote mounting system for the USB connector and Micro SD card. I opted to purchase necessary extensions from Amazon, which included the LANMU 40539A00 SD Card Extension and the Chen Yang B00S5WJ5RO USB B Extension. To secure these components in place, I employed #8 flat head Phillips screws that can be easily attached to a cabinet. The mounting area requires a rectangular cutout with dimensions of 1.5 inches wide by 2.0 inches high.
