Currently we have both USB-C and micro-USB devices in our home, which can be a real nuisance, since the charger cable nearest to you tends to be the incorrect type. We ordered several micro-USB to USB-C adapters, which help somewhat, except they will spread out from the cables when detached. This solution effectively solves the problem of losing these cable adapters, with the adapter stuck in one end and the cable pushed through the other end. Because of the star/flower shape grabbing the connector's strain relief, the thing with the adapter doesn't easily come loose on the connector side, unlike the initial version. There are two versions available for different size adapters. These can certainly be used for other adapters and cables as well, such as some semi-permanently mounted extension cables, if the connector fits snugly.
