This is a scale model (1/32 - Gauge 1) of a small boxcar used in the late 1890s. It uses the same frame as my Bobber Caboose (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1363887) but almost everything had to be reworked. Print Settings Printer: Vertex K8400 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 and 0.2 mm Infill: 30-40% Notes: Everything is printed in ABS on a heated bed (100°) coated with a 3D adhesive spray. The sliding doors and their mechanism are to scale hence very small and thin. The doors are printed vertically at low speed. The brackets and rails at 0.1 mm layer height. Rods shafts and other small parts are also printed at 0.1 mm. The roof is best printed vertically (file with brim). There's a file without brim for those who can't. Parts 24 to 27a are not on the exploded view. Post-Printing Assembly instructions To avoid having screws on the rooftop, the roof is bolted to the roof truss from under. To put the roof in place, you'll have to insert the ends of the truss into the notches inside the cabin. So, you'd better check if they fit easily before trying to do it. Some filing/sanding may be needed. The wall raisers, rails and door brackets are glued to the cabin and the door (PVC glue for ABS, super glue for PLA). Some filing may be needed for the upper brackets to have them sliding easily on the rail. The rungs, brake platform, rods etc are glued to the cabin. The 2 lower rungs must be slightly bended downwards. The axle bearings can be screwed from inside the cabin with 2x8 mm screws. The front and rear boxes for the uncoupling mechanism too. I'm using 3mm steel axles about 67 mm long. If needed, drill the holes in the axles bearings to 3.2 mm. New 2016-11-22: I've designed a knuckle coupler fitting the boxcar (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1908821). If you already printed it, you'll have to drill a 2 mm hole in the cabin floor for the screw holding the gearbox cover. Otherwise, there's a new version of the cabin with the holes.
