The TBF Avenger marked its combat debut during the Battle of Midway, swiftly replacing the TBD Devastator due to the latter's obsolescence at war's onset. Its robust design earned it distinction as the heaviest single engine aircraft throughout the conflict. Post-war, it underwent modernization and continued serving through the '60s. This intricately crafted model is precision-designed for optimal 1/900th scale execution but remains scalable both up and down in scale. Scaling larger models can compromise detail due to a lack of minute particulars. To offset this issue, the model has been augmented with increased dimensions along the z axis to highlight critical details more effectively, and its components have been strengthened through reinforcement.
