The TBD Devastator entered service in 1937, already outdated by the fast pace of aircraft development as soon as America entered WWII. Out of the 130 built, only 44 took part in the Battle of Midway, where it fell far short of expectations. The TBF Avenger stepped up to replace the Devastator, impressing everyone with its better performance during that battle. This 1/900th scale model has been designed and put through rigorous testing. It is highly adaptable, easily upscaled or downgraded to suit any needs. However, as it was optimized for this specific scale, enlargements won't deliver the level of detail users are used to from smaller models. To solve this issue, designers have taken creative liberties with the vertical axis, enhancing printing results and accentuating intricate features in the process. Designers have deliberately incorporated stronger components by adding extra bulk, while wingspan and total length maintain strict adherence to accurate proportions.
