1/1800th scale USS Pensacola model. Certain design aspects are intentionally misrepresented for illustrative purposes only. The Pensacola-class heavy cruisers, designed and constructed in accordance with the provisions of the Washington Naval Treaty, were two behemoths of naval might that would play crucial roles on the world stage. Both ships emerged victorious from the conflicts that defined their era. These massive warships were outfitted with a formidable armament, consisting of ten 8-inch guns and eight 5-inch cannons, not to mention a sophisticated air defense system designed to safeguard them against aerial threats. In addition to their arsenal of ordnance, the Pensacola-class cruisers also boasted an impressive complement of torpedoes, six in total. However, due to logistical concerns, these vessels were modified before the United States' entry into World War II by removing the torpedo tubes, which no longer served a practical purpose. This scale model is part of an extensive collection showcasing historic WWII naval ships, and more will be forthcoming. If you have a specific request for a particular ship, do not hesitate to send me a message and I'll give it due consideration, integrating it into my workflow as necessary. Update: Following feedback, I've added model boats and anchor chains for increased realism and made adjustments to optimize print quality. Notable prints are optimized using PLA at a layer height of 0.1mm and a nozzle diameter of 0.4mm, resulting in stunning level of detail that simulates reality with precision.
