Auto Flag for Your Mailbox. This will automatically raise the flag when your mail carrier opens the mailbox. It fits standard US mailboxes with a flag. (see Photo) 3D print from ABS for long-lasting durability in harsh weather conditions. You'll need some additional hardware to get started. 1. A spring from an old pen (5 mm diameter x 30 mm long). 2. Two 6 mm bolts that are 20 mm long (to replace the original bolts). 3. Some 1.5 mm nylon ripcord. This design consists of three parts: MailBoxDoor This attaches to the outside of the door using one of the 6 mm bolts, matching the color of the door exactly. MailBoxInner This fits inside the mailbox and locates in the existing flag holes. MailBoxOuter This houses the return spring and fits over the MailBoxInner part. The spring retracts the ripcord when the door is closed. The ripcord connects this part to the MailBoxDoor part, raising the flag when rotated.
