1/450th scale F6F Hellcat Fighter model. Certain elements not to scale. The F6F Hellcat was a carrier-borne fighter, introduced into the US Navy in 1942. While it outperformed its primary rival, the Japanese A7M Reppu, its agility and robust design gave it an edge. The F6F, which was unsuitable for escort carriers, unlike its predecessor the F4F, stopped production after the war ended. This model is designed and tested at 1/450th scale, but down-scaling is possible. Since the model is optimized for 1/900th scale, it's not ideal to print smaller versions due to a lack of detail. The model has been reduced along the z axis to allow for better printing and accentuation of detail. The model has also been given thinner elements for strength. The wingspan and overall length are nearly to scale. Available are both individual and wingman files. Rearranged wingman option. Adjustments for better printability. Tested with TPU at .07mm layer height with .35mm nozzle
