Colorado Class Battleship Model in 1/1800th Scale: Certain Elements Not to Scale The Colorado class of battleships were commissioned after World War I, constructed before the signing of the Washington Naval treaty in 1922. To comply with the treaty, construction on the USS Washington ceased at 75% completion and the vessel was subsequently converted into a target ship for military exercises. These mighty ships featured four triple turrets mounting 16-inch caliber guns. Their legacy was cemented during World War II as Maryland and West Virginia saw combat firsthand. Tragically, the attack on Pearl Harbor claimed West Virginia as its first victim; although it would eventually be salvaged, restored to full functionality and returned to duty. Scrapping of all three battleships took place in the 1950s. I have an ongoing collection showcasing warships that played key roles during WWII, stay tuned for more! If there's a specific request you'd like me to prioritize, don't hesitate – simply message me with your wish and I'll do my best to add it to the list.
