cgstudio
A highly detailed model of the US Coast Guard HC-130J is now available for use. This upgrade surpasses our previous version with added depth and complexity. The Deep Water Project has produced this advanced model, featuring a detailed interior cargo area that showcases its capabilities. Improved UV unwrapping and texturing have also been incorporated to enhance performance in various platforms. Textures are provided in high detail, including diffuse, bump, and specular maps, with maximum dimensions of 4096 pixels. Additionally, Photoshop template files can be downloaded for modification purposes, allowing users to customize the layered textures as needed. The HC-130J has a rich history dating back to its first flight in 1964. Initially modified for search and rescue missions, it has also been used for command and control platforms, in-flight refueling of helicopters, and supplemental fuel transport for extended range or air refueling operations. Some variants have employed the Fulton surface-to-air recovery system. The HC-130 can operate effectively during the day against reduced threats, but crews typically fly at night using night vision goggles (NVG) for low-level air refueling and airdrop operations. It can also employ NVG tactical flight profiles to evade detection while flying low-level. To ensure mission success and survivability near populated areas, crews use tactics such as minimizing external lighting or communications and avoiding radar and weapons detection.
