US Capitol for DAZ Studio 3D model
cgtrader
The Capitol, located in Washington D.C., serves as the meeting place for the United States Congress and is part of the federal government's legislature. Positioned on Capitol Hill at the National Mall's eastern end, it has never been geographically central but acts as the city's dividing point for quadrants. Both the east and west sides are referred to as fronts, historically only the former being designated for visitors and dignitaries. The neoclassical style building features a white exterior like its federal counterparts in the executive and judicial branches. In 1792, Thomas Jefferson organized a design competition that resulted in William Thornton's late entry winning acclaim from Washington and Jefferson himself for its elegance. This original design was later modified by Benjamin Henry Latrobe and Charles Bulfinch. The current dome and House and Senate wings were designed by Thomas U. Walter and August Schoenborn, a German immigrant, under Edward Clark's supervision. This DAZ Studio prop includes 86,555 polygons but is an exterior building with no interior or moving parts. Textures may appear pixelated when viewed close-up; it is recommended for medium and long shots. The model is intended for use in DAZ Studio with Iray.
