US Army Basic Tank Round Set (1:7 Scale approx.)

thingiverse

These are basic US Army M1 Abrams tank rounds plus a stand with each name displayed. Designed using Fusion 360, Meshmixer, and Sketch-up in combination. All models go through NETFABB processing. The rounds were printed on the Phrozen Sonic Mini at 50-micron layers, with bases flat on the plate and some supports used. The base was printed at an approximately 60-degree angle with supports added for stability. Note that these models have not been printed using a traditional FDM printer. Make sure to hollow each model and create effective drainage, even for the base. Magnetic paint was applied to the openings in the base, and rare-earth magnets were installed into the bases of each round. The drainage holes were used for the magnets, so keep that in mind when creating drainage holes during support/slicing. Be cautious when using the Sonic Mini: these models will push your printer to its Z-axis limit at this scale. Handle the build plate with care when removing it.
