URSA Open Axis Initiative Step1 First step is to assimilate the existing part improving on the wheel mounting method by providing a space for a nut so that the wheel mounts deeper within the bearings and can provide better leverage... Observe the open source SCAD included, so you can improve and share your work! Why do I invest in the URSA fully printable RC Vehicle? Well it is not fully open souurce but at least it is being shared for free and requiring minimal unusual non printable hardware (only screws and bearings) it is within the reach of a larger number of people worldwide! A M4x25 screw plus nut is required for each wheel mount position... Further future changes (follow my channel for updates): - increase the size of the torque transmitting hex head that interfaces with the wheel - the U-joint type should be experimentally improved (less resistance to steering) - the differential input shaft and gear requires some improvements too - ideal would be a fully parametric open source full differential solution in the future
