Constellation Ursa Minor (UMi) This is one of a collection of 3D constellations designed to teach astronomy to visually impaired individuals. The size of the raised stars indicates their relative brightness, while raised lines connect them for easy navigation. Scaled to 100 mm in diameter, these constellations can be easily handled and explored by students with limited vision. To make them even more visible, model aircraft enamel paint can be applied to the stars, enhancing their visibility for those with visual impairments. For added mobility, magnetic material can be attached to the back of each constellation using a heating duct cover, allowing them to be moved around on a magnet board with ease. Each constellation is numbered rather than labeled directly, making it perfect for classroom identification quizzes and interactive learning experiences. A convenient bead chain loop is located at the top of each disk, providing a easy way to handle and display the constellations.
