The memory of that fateful march in 2014 still weighs heavily on my heart as I reflect on the sudden passing of my uncle in a devastating car accident. His three young sons were left reeling, their innocent eyes unable to comprehend the void their beloved father had left behind. I remember the tearful plea they made, asking me to design personal urns for them to hold a little piece of their father's ashes close to their hearts. One of his children yearned for something more than just an urn; he implored me to create a necklace, and thus I also crafted a delicate pendant to be treasured by the grieving family. As I carefully crafted each drop-shaped urn from intricately cut (laser-hacked) acrylic, I knew I was doing it not only for my uncle's sons but for all who have ever had to confront such an unspeakable loss – creating something that could honor his memory and serve as a tangible connection to their loved one.
