Uranium glass oscillator
thingiverse
I created my version of uranium glass oscillator, inspired by an amazing Instructable project at https://www.instructables.com/id/U-M-R-O-Uranium-glass-marble-ring-oscillator/. I decided to make a 3D printable case and incorporate it into my Borg costume from Star Trek. You can adjust the capacitor and resistor values to alter the frequency. I used a 1uF capacitor and a 200k resistor to achieve a reasonably slow rotation, but you can increase the frequency by using a 100k resistor and a 0.1uF capacitor. The transistors I employed are 2N2222, while the LED's utilized are 400nm UV 5mm LED. The uranium glass component was purchased online; mine was part of a key ring with a 19mm diameter bead. If your uranium glass has a different size, you can scale the model to ensure a perfect fit. Check out this video for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxsjUPFW2kM
With this file you will be able to print Uranium glass oscillator with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Uranium glass oscillator.
