Uragaan - Monster Hunter
thingiverse
Meet the colossal Uragaan, a modified game rip from the Monster Hunter series. After running this model through Netfabb to perfect it, I posed it in Blender with two alternative poses - one curled and one T-pose - for those who want to experiment with their own poses. The curled pose boasts a higher poly count and looks outstanding, if you ask me. To print the Uragaan for DnD, Pathfinder, or 28mm scale models, I recommend scaling it up to about 1500% and slicing from chin to tail. Check out the pictures above for visual reference. This model takes up nearly my entire 220x220mm (8.5x8.5in) print bed, so be prepared for a large print job. Don't forget to scale the base to 200% for gargantuan size. I encountered some warping and curling issues when printing with PLA using my Alunar m505 printer. To overcome these problems, I used Solutech Grey PLA at an extruder temperature of 200c, a bed temperature of 70c, a layer height of 0.2mm, 10% infill, and a 2mm shell. You can also find a link to stats for the Uragaan in 5th Edition DnD on Reddit - it's not my work, but rather a helpful resource.
