I was searching for a battery bay that fit my larger batteries for this quad and although I found several options that were close, none met all of my requirements. The joy of 3D printing lies in its ability to give you exactly what you want! My best inspiration came from these two designs: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3207968 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3032981. I took parts from each design, combined them, and then continued to refine the design until I was satisfied with the result. A quick note is that increasing the Throttle MID value to 0.70 and adjusting the Throttle EXPO value to 0.42 greatly improves the performance of this quad even when using larger batteries! If you have any questions or updates, please post them on my blog at RCGroups; the specific thread is here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3207437-UR65-US65-Large-Battery-Bay-3D-Printed. I added a picture showing how to hold the stock battery in place using a simple rubber band. A tip for attaching the bay to the quad is to insert a large battery into the bay and then push it onto the quad, making sure to keep it parallel as you do so; this will weaken the pins and make it easier to attach. Once they are seated, the whole setup becomes incredibly strong.
