Securely hold any smartphone in various cases on a tripod or monopod without removing it, thanks to a design that accommodates different case thicknesses while keeping microphones, screen, and ports accessible. Inspired by cswaim's clamping method, this universal phone mount features a wider clamping surface and tightening nuts for added security. Printable in 3.5-4 hours on standard settings without support, optimized for PLA. To assemble, attach two 4" 1/4"/20 hex head bolts, one 1/4"/20 nut, and two 1/4"/20 wingnuts; glue the nut in place at the top center of the bottom print and secure the bolts with hotglue on the bottom of their hexhead faces. Add felt or rubber pads to the outside angles for a snug phone grip. Mount onto your preferred tripod, monopod, or gorillapod for hands-free smartphone use.
