Entrance is mounted with the hole facing down on the inside of the hive. When bees enter they can remember how to navigate. When pests of the hive Small Hive Beetle and Hornets enter a hive the go up and have a hard time navigating the blockage. The bees then have a chance to further defend the entrance. Included are covers and vents to be used for smaller hives or when moving a hive.
