Upside-down stand for Cryostream 800

Upside-down stand for Cryostream 800

thingiverse

A stand for the coldhead of an Oxford Cryosystems Cryostream 800 cryostat. I'm guessing the head was designed to be serviced upside-down. I successfully tested the fit, but haven't used it yet. A long ziptie can theoretically be added for extra stability, but I don't think it will be necessary. The long central cuts are meant to screw the whole thing to a 2x4 (or similar) if I ever need to put it in a vise. The main plug remains accessible for soldering work. Note: I use a 5mm scrap piece of plexi here, the screws are countered with hexnuts! Do not use self-tapping screws!
