Upside Down Flask Holder
thingiverse
This holds an Erlenmeyer flask upside down. The goal is to place a stoppered flask inverted while a mixture of two liquids separates by weight. The heavier liquid at the bottom can then be drained off. To achieve this, I use a two-hole stopper and 1/4 inch vinyl tubing. One tube extends all the way up to the air space at the "bottom" of the inverted flask, allowing air in as the liquid drains. The other tube is short and serves as the outlet for the liquid. A clamp shaped like an "8" allows the short tube to be crimped closed. It's designed for a 125mL flask but can be scaled up or down depending on the size needed. This setup could also be repurposed as a drying rack.
