Upright Laptop Stand
thingiverse
This is a basic stand that holds laptops in an upright position, freeing up desk space and allowing the cooling system to work more efficiently. The opening measures 26mm wide, accommodating most PCs given their miniaturized size. To prevent damage to the PC, the surfaces likely to touch it are curved. I added felt feet to mine to reduce noise on the desk surface, though rubber would also be effective. There are two versions: Rev. features thinner uprights with parallel sides, while Rev. A has wider uprights at the bottom for extra strength and a more substantial appearance. I've included FreeCad files for both revisions, allowing you to customize them as needed. The design is straightforward, making it easy to remove fillets and chamfers, modify the foundational geometry, and reapply fillets and chamfers to suit your preferences.
