Upright Arcade Cabinet

Upright Arcade Cabinet

Hailing from the '70s era, arcade games hold a special place in my heart compared to modern Xbox consoles. Considering purchasing an actual arcade machine due to nostalgia, I've explored various options like MAME cabinets. However, space constraints led me to design a compact arcade machine measuring 130cm/5" tall using CorelDRAW. Two files are provided - one with Space Invader artwork and another blank for customization. The materials required are 3mm Acrylic sheets. Cutting instructions involve black lines for complete cuts, yellow lines for light cuts (shadow effect), and red lines for engraving purposes (monsters and playfield). Assembling the 12-piece puzzle may need extra caution to avoid mistakes. If using MDF or similar materials, remember to flip the artwork design onscreen to prevent mirroring issues. Lastly, don't glue the top piece permanently to retain access to the coin slot. A larger file is available for those who prefer 1/4" thickness, but it remains untested by the author.
