This majestic statue sat proudly in the king's mortuary temple to the west of the Nile at Thebes. It was a vital part of an impressive array of architectural sculpture that decorated this temple. The temple itself had been built during the Eighteenth Dynasty, roughly 1370 BC, for the powerful King Amenhotep III. This object is part of "Scan The World".
