Upper Longyear Valley

Longyear River is energized by both Larsbreen and Longyearbreen glaciers during the peak melting period. This has a significant impact on the community due to massive transportation of glaciofluvial sediments. This study was designed to track sediment deposition occurring in the melting season. Images were collected manually over two days, September 15th and 17th, 2019.
