I've been busy fine-tuning some enhancements for my Prusa i3 overhaul. Openscad files available for modification (they may be a bit cryptic, but I'll try to clarify them and add comments soon). Y-axis upgrades: Swap out the LM8UU bearing for an 8-12-15 bronze bushing Replace the idler and fix the belt alignment issue (uses an M6 screw with a nylon nut and two MF126ZZ) Upgrade the motor holder I've removed the end stop holder and reinforced the structure I've created a version that mounts on the back and inverts the Y axis, which is beneficial for my setup since the motor leads are short and the wiring is easier to manage this way. Added a belt holder with a tensioning mechanism inspired by this design.
