EDIT - 24.11.2015 I updated the fan holder/clamp parts because the previous ones were faulty and obstructed the hot end's alignment. The new design is visually improved. If speed matters, consider incorporating my lightweight bearing blocks: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1149490 The Sunhokey Prusa i3 carriage has design flaws. It limits the Z-range, features a fragile hot end mount and lacks built-in fan mounts. To correct these issues, I created a new assembly. This redesigned carriage is designed to support three bearings for smooth operation. It includes a pocket for mounting a PiBot optical height sensor (https://www.pibot.com/pibot-optical-reflection-endstop-rev143.html), which works effectively as a Z-endstop and enables precise bed leveling every time. Alternatively, it can function like a bed leveling sensor. A fan duct guides cold end fan airflow over the fins, while mounting posts are included for 35x10 mm blower fans. A version without blower posts is also provided. The hoop for the belt ends has improved positioning to keep the belt aligned properly. For the PiBot sensor to function accurately, it requires a specific movement toward the bed at all times; this can be achieved with a simple G-code sequence.
