People swear by solar lights to illuminate pathways and driveways, but the flimsy stakes provided are often so weak they shatter when driven into the ground with even a single blow of a hammer. Frustrated by this problem and surveying my stack of broken Lowe's lights strewn about the yard, I came up with a sturdy replacement stake that can withstand the force of a dead-blow or rubber mallet.
