Bought this Razor electric quad for my kid, but steering is shit. So I designed this upgraded version based on industrial standard components.Working well, no play anymore. For information, here the ball joints references:M10 (4 parts) : PHS10M8 (4 parts) : PHS8The threaded rods are M8 stainless steel. The sheet metal parts are 5mm steel lasercut and bended with a 2mm radius.I added the DXF files for lasercut. Included the bending lines. The axles are turned from steel and TIG welded to the bended parts.I added the drawing for turning.Assembly to cancel play:1) Mount the 2 M10 ball joints on each side (using existing bushings) with the long M10 screw2) Mount the steel bracket with the upper screws firts (round hole) 3) Mount the second screw ( slot hole) 4) Mount the linkages ans set them to have both wheels parallel whet the handle bar is straight.Update: Instead of turning new axles, you can cut the material(sheet metal) all arround the original ones, clean them on the lathe to get back a nice round shape, and weld them on the new brackets.
