This heavily reinforced extruder arm and body is designed for easier printing, featuring a streamlined design that eliminates the narrow point just above the idler pulley to distribute stress more effectively. Key objectives were achieved: 1) Verify dimensional accuracy through precise measurement. 2) Beef up the lever by maximizing thickness where possible. 3) Tighten the filament path to prevent TPU from getting lost. 4) Retain the adjustable spring tensioner for optimal performance. 5) Incorporate a 10mm deep, 4mmØ hole in the top of the lever, allowing a short length of PTFE tube to be inserted and preventing plastic wear at the extruder's sides. 6) Prevent idler pulley twisting over time by reinforcing its design. Testing is currently underway, with an upload planned soon. This design promises significant strength improvements over the stock lever, requiring only a 10mm countersunk M3 screw for secure attachment. Future possibilities include integrating a PTFE tube attachment point for reverse bowdens and incorporating bearings into the axle design. Additionally, a mechanism to lock the PTFE tube in place may be necessary. Print this lever on its side to minimize layer lines across the lever's surface. Support is recommended during printing, with the filament hole cleaned out using a 2mm drill bit afterwards.
