Upgraded Mk10 extruder arm
cults3d
This is a heavily reinforced extruder arm and body. It is designed to be easier to print, and has removed the narrow point just above the idler pulley to to distribute stress better. Goals were to: 1) Verify dimensional accuracy. 2) Beef up the lever, with maximum thickness where possible 3) Tighten the filament path so that TPU can't get lost. 4) Keep the adjustable spring tensioner 5) Include a 10mm deep 4mmØ hole in the top of the lever so that a small length of PTFE tube can be inserted. This is to stop plastic wearing at the sides of the extruder. 6) Prevent the idler pulley twisting over time. I'm just testing it now, and will upload it soon. This design should offer a significant strength improvement over the stock lever. It will need a 10mm countersunk m3 screw. Future options may include a way to attached a PTFE tube for reverse bowdens and bearings for the axle. It may also need a way to lock the PTFE tube in place. The lever has an integral support and is intended to be printed on its side so that layer lines are not aligned across lever. Use support for the print, and clean out the filament hole with a 2mm drill bit afterwards.
