The JAW Effector Boosts Print Quality by Elevating the Hotend Nozzle to Optimal Height. This Innovative Design Combines Compactness with Unparalleled Precision, Delivering Exceptional Results on Kossel Style Delta Printers. Testing Revealed that the Final Design Successfully Integrated into a Homebrew Kossel Mini Delta Printer on February 27th, 2018, without any Clearance Issues Using Traxxis Rod Ends. The Result was Smooth and Effortless Performance. Assembling Traxxis Rod Ends Requires Attention to Detail: First, Attach Carbon Rods to the Rod Ends using a Customizable Jig Available on Thingiverse. Next, Submerge the Rod Ends in a Boiling Pot of Water for 10-15 Seconds, then Gently Squeeze the Circular Holes with Pliers until they Bend and Return to their Original Shape. Finally, Push the Balls into Place within the Rod Ends, Ensuring the Correct Side is Used (Identifiable by a Larger Lip or Shiny Ring). If Assembled Properly, Zero Play in the Effector's Arms will be Achieved Every Time, Eliminating Loose Ball Ends that can Cause Print Failures. Print Settings: - Use PETG or ABS Filament for Optimal Results. PLA May Not Withstand the Higher Temperatures Surrounding the Heater Block. - Enable Supports for the Main Body of the Effector under the Radius/Curve of the Hotend Arms to Ensure Proper Printing and Support the Center Column where the Hotend Will Be Attached. Hardware: - Various M3 Bolts and an Extra M3 Nut (beyond the 12 Required for the Effector's Arms) are Necessary for Assembly, Including the Inductive Sensor Holder. - The Design is Specifically Optimized for One 30x30x10 Axial Fan to Cool the Hotend and One 30x30x10 Radial Fan for Print/Part Cooling. These Fans can be Found on eBay or Amazon and Operate at 5 Volts, Compatible with Duet Boards.
