In the initial design, I encountered an issue with friction due to uneven spool lips causing width variation from 103 to 107 mm, leading to scraping against sides. To rectify this, the revised version enlarges the spooler while ensuring bearings accommodate spools within the specified range without falling off. The A-frame parts in the middle were deemed unnecessary and removed for reduced friction. However, a printer with a 170mm build platform is required. Additionally, lightly sanding Ultimachine spool lips helps maintain centering by eliminating sharp edges that catch on bearing walls.
