Upgraded Ender 3 V2 Filament Holder
thingiverse
This is designed to be as similar as possible to the stock filament holder, but uses bearings to fix issues with spool gripping on the shaft. Uses two 1/2 (ID) x 1 1/8 (OD) x 5/16 (W) ball bearings (I used [these](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X5Z82LH/)) and simply replaces the shaft from the stock holder. Assembly steps: * Print all four parts (pic 2). The roller and spacer can be printed in vase mode. I printed the shaft vertically with tree supports and the cap vertically with the slot facing down and tree supports as well. * Slide one bearing down the shaft, followed by the spacer and the other bearing (pics 4-6). * Slide the roller over the bearings (pic 7). * Fit the slot in the cap over the end of the shaft (pic 8). * Install the shaft assembly onto the stock filament holder in the same way as the stock shaft, using the lock nut (pics 1 and 9).
