*Updated* SKR 1.2 Pro and TFT35 E3 V3 Cases for MPCNC Lowrider 2 CNC
thingiverse
**Update 4/18/21** - Added new SKR back case for mounting the TFT directly to the top. Eliminates cable strain from cabling bracket mount or for those whose bracket isn't inline with the mounting area. Added new bumper style SKR front case. Now you can add whatever 1/8" flat stock you'd like! Compatible with both TFT mounting styles. **Update 1/11/21** - Uploaded .step and .f3d files so you may mod to your liking. Please attribute me if you post a remix --- By request. This case combo for the Big Tree Tech SKR Pro 1.2 and TFT 35 E3 V3.0 is what I use for my V1 Engineering Lowrider 2 CNC. All parts are compatible with each other so mix and match as you choose. Everything is held together by cutting the threads with M3 screws except for the fan (40mmx40mmx10mm) which requires nuts. The boards are connected to built in standoffs so you can remove the cover of the case and work on the board without them falling out. The TFT case was designed with beefy sides just in case it got knocked around at all and there is a hole to access the reset button. The SKR12 back case does not have mounting holes. There is plenty of clearance to screw it directly into your mounting area or design your own solution. Just be sure to add some Kapton or electrical tape to the screw heads to ensure safety and prevent shorts. --- **Photo examples:** To make the self contained setup you see in the first 3 photos you will need: * SKRPro12_TFTMount_Case_Back.stl * *SKRPro12_BumperCover.stl * TFT35_Case_Back.stl * TFT35_Case_Cover.stl For the setup in the 4th and 5th photos that mount the TFT to the cable bracket you will need: * SKRPro12_Case_Base.stl * *SKRPro12_Case_Cover.stl * TFT35_Case_Cover.stl * TFT35_Case_Back.stl * TFT35_Case_MountingBracket.stl *Note that the “SKRPro12_BumperCover.stl” or “SKRPro12_Case_Cover.stl” can be used in either setup.
