Wow that gif got SUPER corrupted, that's actually pretty funny! This is my first time making and designing a mechanism from scratch in CAD. I had a lot of fun making it and I'm super excited that I actually managed to get it to work too. I was only able to make the mechanism from scratch however, I'm not great at 3D sculpting yet!, so I used @max7th's Iron Man Helmet as a base. I included a pic of the first prototype which sorta worked, but it didn't open far enough. I fixed it by making the linkages longer and having them attach closer to the main hinge of the faceplate. But, I don't know how to take out the original hinges out of the faceplate's model... yet.... so just be sure to use the upper-most hinges. Update 6/2/2020: After working on some other projects and getting more familiar with Fusion 360, I was able to come back and fix up the faceplate and helmet. The original hinges and openings have been removed, leaving only the ones that work. This should help with any confusion with constructing the mechanism.
