Updated - iPad Stand with Supports
thingiverse
Updated - New version of this remix is slightly larger to provide better device support, some edges on the arms that hold the iPad have been rounded and the spars have been completely redesigned for a better integration and a more finished aesthetic rather than the simple cylinders of my first remix. The original design works great for carrying supports around or traveling, but I prefer not having two parts to place and keep track of. Instead, I've come up with a new design that's easier to use in one or two places in the house. I'm totally new to printing and designing, so this was a lesson in simplifying complexity without sacrificing rigidity. Using Fusion 360, I created a more robust stand that meets my needs. This remix works well with older iPads as well as the iPad Pro 2 (10.5") in both landscape and portrait modes. I've also tested it with an iPhone 8+ (with case) and an iPhone 11 (without case), using both devices in landscape mode. You can easily scale this design for your tablet or phone. Default settings are: a width of 15cm from outside edge to outside edge. Settings used: Nozzle size: 0.4mm Layer height: 0.06mm Printing speed: 50mm/s Infill percentage: 25% Shell thickness: 2.0mm Top and bottom layer thickness: 1.2mm
