Updated Extruder Mount for German RepRap NEO
thingiverse
I tried shortening Bowden on NEO without jumping directly into a direct drive setup. It's quite long after all. To make it shorter, I moved the extruder to the upper left side and shortened the bowden tube. This way, no new cable was needed as the original one is long enough. Just two M4x10 countersunk screws were required, which are commonly found in German stores. To get the cable out, a small U-shaped cut was made on the left plastic cover. Enjoy your shorter Bowden and better accessibility! Extra holes have been added for additional guides or filament filters. Mount printed of extruder Greentec Pro Carbon (0.4 layer with 0.6 hardened nozzle, NEO) has been used. TPU gasket/silencer printed from Extrudr TPU medium (MK3) has also been applied. Additional parts have been mounted: NEMA 14 silencer pads (remixed) 1.5mm TPU (Damper_14_1_5mm.stl) on Z and X. As of October 19, 2019, I've updated the Mount to version 2. Minor things like chamfers have been added. Version 1 is now obsolete as it showed vibrations from NEMA going into the Case. Version 2 features a foam mat; let's see how that goes.
