updated Escapement Spring for 3D printed mechanical Clock with Anchor Escapement
thingiverse
After printing the parts for the clock, I was having a problem with the escapement anchor not always making positive engagement with the escapement wheel and the wheel would skip a step. This would result in the anchor being out of sync with the spring and balance and the clock would come to a stop. This can be seen in this video:http://youtu.be/qzABfV0yUNM To help this, I lengthened the actuation arm on the spring by 0.7mm to help it rotate the anchor a little farther on each tick. This seemed to improve the reliability on my printed clock. As you can see, it works better now: http://youtu.be/9-ISAFyFMag Thanks to TheGoofy for such a great design.
