UPDATED E3D Direct Drive Bracket for Flashforge Creator Pro
thingiverse
UPDATED VERSION This version offers more space for the fan, allowing heater block wires to exit through the back without pinching. This enables use of a E3D V6 and Titan extruder on FFCP (tested only with this machine). A pancake stepper motor is utilized as a standard one would hit the back of the machine; however, you can add tape to the left Y carriage end stop if desired. In S3D, set offsets to 7.50 and -7.50 according to the picture. Extraction rates are increased by about x3.3. I use settings of 3.60-3.70 for ABS now. Remember to either wire the new motor in reverse or adjust firmware with RelicatorG. The heater and thermo wires should be fed through the hole on the left, then secured with a cable tie. The clip is placed at the back first to prevent block movement; two small spacers (PEG) are inserted into carriage gaps, followed by the mount placement on top. I attached my spacers and also printed additional washers/clamps for the top. I have a filament rack above my printers for a direct feed from above. Pictures will be added later. A cooling fan aligning with the new nozzle would be beneficial. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 Infill: 75% Notes: It must be quite strong, so ABS or PETG supports might be necessary for the large hole (PLA cannot handle motor and hot end heat). This is a work in progress, with potential changes.
