*Updated* Clip-On 50mm Fan Duct for XYZprinting Davinci 1.0
pinshape
This is a clipped-down version of the following thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:433148). My machine overheats badly with small layers, so I made this to help out without using tape to attach it to the front of the extruder. Good luck getting the supports right, as slic3r tries to add support to the tiny ducts. Cura manages to get it right with some setting changes, but I still can't print anything properly from Cura. I got it to slice correctly using Simply3d software and added the gcode file here for you to try. Updated I noticed there was a problem with the arms breaking off due to some extra surfaces in the model. Since this was my first attempt at 3D modeling, I didn't know how to fix it at the time. However, I've learned a lot over the past year and interest in the part is still high, so I went through the entire model and fixed all the issues I could find, resulting in a single solid that prints strongly. It's not perfect, though, so I added the Sketchup file for anyone who wants to tweak it. I'm leaving the original files here as well, so if you want the new version, make sure you download the "fixed" files.
