Creating a Mold for Button Eyes Requires a Steady Hand and Precise Measurements. First, Choose the Right Material - A Soft, Flexible Plastic That Can Be Shaped Easily. Cut Out Two Identical Circles From the Plastic Sheet Using a Craft Knife or Scissors. Next, Place the Circles on Top of Each Other, Ensuring They Are Evenly Aligned. Hold Them Firmly in Place and Use a Hot Glue Gun to Attach the Circles Together. Be Careful Not to Get Too Much Glue On the Sides, as This Can Cause the Mold to Warp. Once the Glue Is Dry, Use a Drill Press or Hand Drill to Create a Hole in the Center of Each Eye. The Hole Should Be Just Large Enough for the Button to Fit Through. Be Precise with Your Measurements, as an Incorrect Size Can Result in a Poor-Fitting Button Eye. With the Holes Drilled, Place a Button into Each Eye Mold and Secure It in Place Using Hot Glue. Make Sure the Button Is Centered and Evenly Placed Before the Glue Sets. Finally, Paint or Decorate the Eyes to Give Them a Unique Look. This Can Be Done Using Acrylic Paint, Markers, or Even Colored Pencils. Allow the Paint to Dry Completely Before Assembling the Eyes into Your Project.
