The original design exhibits significant looseness and fails to function effectively, making it nearly impossible to set the guide using the dial. The dial only operates in one direction, allowing you to push the guide but not pull it. This MOD overcomes this limitation by providing a new method for use. New Procedure: Insert the two plastic components and secure them together with glue. Next, place the nut onto the spindle until clearance is eliminated. Be gentle as you move the nut back and forth until it seats securely on the thread. This will result in a snug fit that requires patience to achieve. Original Procedure: Insert the two plastic components and secure them together with glue. Then, insert the spindle and mark the end of the plastic on the spindle. A groove must be created in the spindle for a locking ring. Any remaining space can be filled using shims or washers.
