The Frsky Taranis X9D adapter V2 allows use of various external antennas, featuring a slightly larger hole for clearance on antennas like the Frsky 7db patch. Additionally, there is a version supporting the Frsky rp-sma pigtail with an 8.8mm thread length. To print this adapter, you need support material and should use Repetier/Slic3r on a Makergear M2. The lower TX case requires slight modification, as shown in photos. It is designed for a RP-SMA-fm with a 11mm thread length. Alternatively, an U.FL connector can be fitted directly onto the RF-board and paired with a RP-SMA pigtail containing thinner RG178 coax. Be cautious when desoldering the original RG178 coax to avoid damaging the center wire copper trace on the RF-board, as this work is best left to skilled individuals. Further information can be found in posts #505 and onwards of this thread on Rcgroups: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1966664&page=34. A word of warning - failing to fit an antenna to the SMA-connector upon powering up may result in damage to the RF-card on the Taranis.
